How To Win The Turnip Prize

Winning the Turnip Prize is not easy! The trophy consists of a turnip mounted on a 6 inch rusty nail.

As a condition of winning the winner must replace the turnip for next year and is allowed to keep the dried remnants of the one mounted on the nail at the time of presentation.

Marks are awarded against the following criteria:

1.) Lack of effort
2.) Alliteration or pun used in title
3.) Is it shit?

Disqualification of entries is liberally applied by the organisers and should be considered of no disgrace to the "artist". In many ways getting disqualified can be seen as winning.....

Disqualification Criteria:
1.) Too much effort
2.) Un-publishable title, justification or pseudonym
3.) It is not shit enough
